Is there anybody that is currently making a gesture control mapping interface for Kinect that is downloadable and easy -to-use? I would gladly pay for something similar to xpadder but works with Kinect.

If Windows can see Kinect as a games controller then Xpadder will be able to see and use it just like others controllers.
Another driver project for someone I think (unless MS do things right this time - we don't want another chatpad fiasco!)

I love playing games with my 360 control pad and if I could also do so using Kinect, it would be so awesome! I would very much like to see someone like you work on a gesture control mapping system whereby gamers could control their favorite PC games with customized actions.

The way I envision such a system would work...

A person poses/gestures a certain way and then maps it to their keyboard/mouse.

If I were playing a PC FPS game for instance, I could customize gestures/voice controls to specific actions and map those to the game controls.

Gamers could potentially be playing Hardcore games using Kinect on pc long before they actually come out for XBox.

Every link for glovepie is a dead one. Do you have any link to discussions about open-source Kinect where Carl Kenner is posting updates and/or feedback.

Kinect- PC app that lets you use your Kinect with your PC. Pretty awesome and a step in the right direction. All I want to see beyond this is customized gestures and mapping.

FAAST will soon be releasing Mouse support for their app that lets gamers use their Kinect to play PC games. Their forum has gone live.

Has anybody used FAAST and Kinect combined it with Xpadder?

So has anyone here fiddled with the Kinect SDK and been able to map gestures to keys using Xpadder yet? I know the SDK is only in beta and been out 2 weeks but just wondering. A hybrid of controller, gesture and voice control in games would be so awesome.

i doubt it could survive a power surge(when used with a 1st gen 360 that requires external power)

Hmm, gesture controlled driving.
I don't think that this would be a good Idea for a car.
