the n64(using usb adapter , real controller) c buttons only are registered as triggers , so only left and right.
any way to get them to be registered as buttons?

If the adapter only sends their input absurdly enough only as axis, then no.
You can check that by opening the controller menu in Xpadder (the menu on the left side) and clicking on "Properties...". Does the opening Controller Properties window show any reaction in the Direct Input section in the line "Button" when you press these buttons?
Also is you controller adapter a model from Mayflash?

hmm yeah, seems it is seeing it has triggers also in windows . and yes it is the mayflash adapter

From what I could find out about the Mayflash N64 adapter you seem have to add the C buttons as analog stick.
