What does ignore default Profile exactly means?

Post by ravermeister »

Hi, can someone explain what ignore default profile does in the autoprofile section?
to explain my problem:
first I have set a general profile as default.
now I want to 'ignore' this profile for a specific program means
when this program is running, NO profile should be loaded.
so I thought that would be the right setting. but in fact,
xpadder wont switch to NO profile, it still has my default profile loaded.
even the preconfigured rule for xpadder itself does not work. is this right?

I have this problem with the latest stable version,
and the current developer build

for now I will create an empy profile,
but can I do that for games that supports the xbox controller directly without having issues?

This entry simply causes that Xpadder won't load the default profile and keep the current profile loaded when a program for one of these entries comes in focus. So if the default profile is the one that is currently loaded it will still be loaded.

Ahh, see I was expecting it to load no profile when set to ignore default. I always setup games that already have controller support to ignore default (to me it would make sense for it to work that way) but I always get odd results when I do.

So creating empty profiles for those games is the solution for what I am trying to do?
