Absolute position ("spring") doesn't translate correctly in most games

Post by youpla.b »

I've been trying several modern breakout clones with a paddle (a puchi carat retro controller with a PS2/USB adapter) and so far I have yet to get any success. I can set the profile correctly and the Windows mouse responds (if quite janky) but once in game the cursor stays at the edge of the screen and one slight move puts it to the other edge. Changing mouse sensitivity and smooth scrolling (both in Windows and ingame) didn't make any apparent improvement. I also have tried with a standard 360 wired controller but it had the same behaviour.

I have tried Shatter, Bit.trip Beat, Wizorb and Audiosurf.
