xboxed WIRED controller

all the forums questions are about wireless xbox controllers, Can i just purchase a wired one and have it work?

Yes, there are two possibilities.
First: You can buy/use an Xbox360pad for the console, and download the windows driver from Microsoft
Second and better: Buy the Windowsversion of Xbox360pad, it comes with the driver on a CD.

In addition, Vista and Windows 7 have excellent automatic driver download systems (if you have them enabled). Both wired and wireless versions of the controller can be connected without any further work needed from yourself.

Also, XPadder works with mostly all Xbox 360 type controllers.. I have a 3rd party gamestop 360 controller that work just as perfect as microsofts :)

One additional note, the Play & Charge adapter will NOT turn a wireless 360 controller into a wired controller.
