Rotate joystick axis?

Post by justinmschell »

Hello,

I have an Xbox 360 controller and because of the way that my thumb is aligned when I hold the controller, when I try to move the left joystick "up", this usually ends up being about 10 degrees to the right.

I was wondering if there are any settings anywhere or if there is any way to virtually "rotate" how Xpadder perceives the joystick movement so that it matches up with what my thumb thinks is "up"?

you can't exactly rotate the axis, but here's what i would do:

After you have set up your sticks in XPadder, go into the stick-settings (press the settings button next to the stick). In the settings window you can choose the 'Diagonal Size' of the response area.
If you don't have any problems moving your thumb horizontally, i would probably choose the 'Prioritize Vertical' mode. If that wont work for you, you could also choose the 'Standard' mode, but set 'Diagonal Size' down to as little as possible.

hope this helps you
