Use arrows/axis for numbers

Post by Joe »

Hi, i need something like.. when I press left/right, it will press numbers for me.. Like if I press left once.. it's 4.. if i press one more time.. it's 3.. if i press right now.. it's 4 again.. once more right.. 5.. and so on. How could that be done? It would be extranice if it went back to default 3 if not used for 10 seconds or so.

You can do this using Cycles. In the Advanced Assignment window:

Add each assignment you want followed by a Cycle Stop.

There is currently no way to reset the Cycle sequence other than switching to and back from another set.
A Cycle reset option is on my list.

I was able to set it up so dpad right will cycle numbers 1-0... am I able to link up my dpad left now?

For example, I hit dpad right until I am on 6, now when I hit dpad left once it will take me to 5... but what I have happening is:

1) hit dpad right until I am at 6
2) hit dpad left once (want to be at 5) but I'm at 2
3) hit dpad right (want to be back at 6) but am at 7
4) hit dpad left it just increments from 2 to 3

They are working independently of each other, instead of together. Is there a way to link them? thanks

Not really. You could archive with Set Selectors, but as there are only 8 Sets available you could only use the numbers 1-8. Also you would need to recreate the other assignments in every Set.

I would recommend the solution I have used in this profile (shoulder buttons).
