1.2 - Creating a controller layout

Post by Jonathan »

The controller layout is the controller image and the position of the buttons, sticks, dpads and triggers.
This information is saved in a controller file.

The controller layout only needs to be created once for each different controller you have. If you connect another controller that is the same then Xpadder will automatically use the controller layout that you have already created. It is possible, however, to open a different controller layout for other identical controllers manually. This allows you to have a different controller file for identical controllers - this setting will be remembered next time you start Xpadder.

The layout is different to a profile (which we will create later). A profile is the actual key and mouse actions that are mapped onto this controller layout.
