Marvel: Ultimate Alliance (X360)

Post by jtdonville »

I've set this up for a Wireless X360 Controller, to emulate as closely as possible the "actual" controller settings. Read the manual that ships with the game for details, as some of the controls are overloaded - a legacy of the console origins of the game. Unfortunately, this game does not work properly with the Wireless controller as a natively-supported device (hence the Xpadder profile). Reputedly, the wired X360 version works just fine, but my Logitech F310s also don't work properly natively with the game when they are set to XInput. DirectInput seems to work just fine natively. YMMV.

The XPadder profile uses the RT to toggle between 'normal' and 'super power' modes. When the RT is engaged, the 'super power' mode is on (Set 2). Otherwise, the 'normal' mode is used (Set 1). Super powers are activated by pressing numbers 1 through 8 on the main keyboard (not the numpad) and the 'Team Extreme' power(s) are activated by pressing '0' (main keyboard zero). I have mapped '0' to the LT as part of Set 2.

The D-pad is used to select the team member the player wishes to control directly and also, in combination with the 'Call Allies' (RS) button to toggle whether your team acts defensively, aggressively or somewhere in-between.

AFAIK, the button mappings are generally consistent with DirectInput controllers. Again, YMMV.
