Mass Effect 1 (X360) (no remap needed)

Post by M47R1X »

NOTE: This is an alternative to another profile, seen here: http://xpadder.com/forum4/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=4024

Both are valid profiles, but this one works without modifying in-game controls.

This profile was designed to recreate the Xbox 360 controls (to a point) while adding in some ability quick slots. It doesn't require any changing of keys in game (although you may want to invert the mouse in game, if that's your thing). An advantage over enabling the native 360 pad support is access to 4 quick slots without totally alienating a player used to playing the 360 version. Note, the Logitech ChillStream is just a 3rd-Party 360 PC controller and works the same as any other 360 pad. Plus, it's a darn fine pad for $10

The way this is, clicking the right stick will make Shepard storm if moving, you technically have 3 HUD buttons, and so on. Those bits could stand to change, but doing so will require changing keybindings within the game, kinda defeating the purpose of this one. If you want a smoother experience, try my other profile, linked at the top of this post.

Also (as I'm sure you all know by now), the remnants of the 360 support needs to be removed to get rid of the aim glitch (I've also heard of having the right stick also press Mouse Button 3, but that seemed to make my aiming a bit shaky).
