controller settings keeps popping up

Is there anyway to disable my configuration settings from popping up on my desktop? I like the program shortcut on my desktop, but I am rather getting tired of the fact that my that a notepad file called configuration settings pops up every time I turn on my controller. Its getting annoying. Is there anyway of hiding it? Or make it so it only pops up in some other place instead of my desktop? Like start menu maybe?
